I created a range of initial user personas. I then created my initial survey and 100% of responses where from people aged 16-25. 75% of responses being from people who identified as female. This data is very useful and important to refer back to when I start the design process. “Studies that have explored app features by gender have found that women value the social features more than men.” While only two people voted fro the community feature both were female which agrees how men and women value different

This question in my survey revealed what features my users think is most relevant. This information is useful because I can focus on these instead of including features that people won't use and will clutter the UI. I will still include a community tab but potentially it will be a smaller part of the app that I intended to make it before I collected the results from my survey. The main features of my app will be a plant care guide, and smart home integration and plant compatibility checker.

The correlation between these questions shows that people with beginner levels of plant knowledge are more likely to kill a plant due to a lack of knowledge about how to properly care for their plants. Almost 100% of people also admitted to forgetting to water their plants. These statistics lean in favour of a solution that will solve plant mortality rates. 13/16 participants also said they had never heard of any of the plant care apps I listed as competitors. 100% of responses also voted yes or maybe in response to being asked if I created a plant care app would it help and would they be interested in using it.
