I wanted my wordmark to convey boldness and make a strong visual statement. After careful consideration, I chose American
Typewriter as the typeface, as it possesses a timeless quality while remaining clean and highly legible. Its classic aesthetic lends a sense of reliability and familiarity, while the bold weight enhances its presence, ensuring it captures attention effectively. The combination of tradition and clarity made it the ideal choice for creating a striking and memorable brand identity. I liked the other choices typefaces but i preferred American
Typewriter, it inspired my logo. I used the shape of the āUā to create the shape of the BUD plant pot.
I opted to present BUD in all capital letters to create a stronger sense of visual balance within the wordmark. Using uppercase letters lends the name a bold, confident presence, which helps to convey a feeling of strength and authority. This typographic choice ensures the brand stands out and leaves a lasting impression.
Additionally, I decided to separate the logo mark from the wordmark primarily to enhance readability. By keeping the two elements distinct, each can be appreciated on its own merit without compromising clarity. This separation also allows for greater flexibility in how the brand is applied across various mediums and contexts, ensuring consistency while maintaining a clean, professional appearance.
